I started pilates after I had back pain,. I had been to see Gerry Scott for physiotherapy, after he helped me with the inital problem he recomended Pilates as a way of preventing a recurrnce of my back problem.

Prior to hurting my back pain I had enjoyed various fitness classes, but when I injured my back I could not longer attend my normal classes without agrevating my pain. However, I found I could do Pilates without my pain being agrevated and it actually helps keep my back pain away.

Pilates has improved my back pain and my posture. Particulary with the type of work I do I am often bending and can find myself slouching which was agrevating my back now I know how to maintain good posture and am finding this easier to do as my core strength improves.

After my pilates class I feel good all over and actually sleep better on the night I have been to class.

I would recomend pilates to anyone, as it can help with lots of different things. Even if you can not do an excercise Lucy can adapt the excercise to suit you and over time you will build up strength to manage it. There is always a new challenge in class.

AFTER SUFFERING a painful recurrence of a long standing problem with "tennis elbow", I decided to consult Gerry at Response Physiotherapy.
He suggested I try Shockwave Therapy and while the name might be a bit intimidating, the treatment itself was easy, quick and effective.
Gerry's explanation of how the treatment is delivered, how it works on chronic soft tissue injuries like my "tennis elbow" and his knowledge and use of the therapy was second to none.
I noticed changes in my elbow from the very first session and by the end of the block of treatments it was pain free, fully mobile and back to normal.
I have no hesitation in recommending Shockwave Therapy and in particular the way it is delivered by Gerry at Response Physiotherapy.
